Global Development and Cultural Network is a Non-for-Profit organization and cultural centre committed to embracing and assisting people of all ages and backgrounds through the celebration of their heritage. We focus on cultural advancement through the arts, learning opportunities for youth, senior support, empowerment of women and poverty relief. We provide a multi-service approach to help those facing challenges as we recognize that each person’s journey is unique and thus requires a variety of support programs. We believe that the road to a more rewarding life starts from connecting with one another by sharing our stories, skills and experiences.
Develop and implement programs in the areas of Cultural Heritage, Education, Senior Care and Poverty Reduction.
Cultural Heritage
- Host performances and exhibitions on international arts, music and culture
- Host events and shows to promote performing arts including music, theatre, plays and other forms of artistic expressions
- Celebrate pride, dignity and heritage of world-renowned artists through awareness campaigns, events and cultural shows
- Provide mentorships, scholarships and awards that ensures fostering talents of artists and artisans
- Develop a museum which will exhibit modern, historical and contemporary arts, culture and spirit of South Asians
Education
- Conduct educational and exchange programs on arts and culture in association with renowned universities and colleges.
- Support and advances education by providing books, equipment and educational aid to the student and children with special needs.
- Advance education by providing vocational and skills-based training programs for first nations, individuals with disabilities, immigrants, newcomers and other citizens across the globe.
- Provide educational scholarships, bursaries and other forms of financial assistance to the needy and underprivileged students.
- To promote excellence and efficiencies in Canada and internationally for individuals engaged in skills trade and workmanship through development and institution of apprenticeship programs.
Senior Care
- Support seniors with services and programs that address their needs of accommodation, personal care, meal assistance, transportation and counselling.
Poverty Reduction
- Reduce poverty and disaster relief by providing food and other basic necessities to individuals and families who are in need.
